How Leopard Got His Spots Freebie

How the Leopard Got His Spots is a great traditional story that my kids loved.

I created a quick page for my kids to use with the story.  They got to draw the face and guess how many spots the leopard has.
In case you'd like to get your copy:

I also found a great version retold by Danny Glover that is for the Kindle...Awesome!

And don't forget the Freebielicious t-shirt giveaway that ends tonight!

GeoBoard Activities and Fun!

Today to add to our shape classifying, I got the geoboards out and let the kids have fun.  They.Loved.It.  #bestteacherever

I did use the materials out of my GeoBoard It! Pack (currently on sale, btw!...wink, wink)
...the pack was a huge hit, I must say!
I meant to take pictures of some of the recording pages where the kids record what shapes they made and plan ahead...but I just got busy!  Sorry!
My original post about my pack can be found here.

Thank you, Hadar (Miss Kindergarten) for the graphic!

Our bulletin board, complete with burlap.
We recorded what we learned from the book:

We did a directed drawing, with our journal entry:

This is one of my sweeties, can you believe his mom and I graduated high school together?  Such a small world....and time really does fly =)

Instagram Linky Party

Sorry for the double post, but I am linking up with
Apples ad ABC's and What The Teacher Wants to share the love on Instagram!

I have had a personal account on Instagram for a while, but recently I joined in with a ton of other teachers and got an account for my class/blog. It has been SO much fun sharing and connecting with other teachers.

If you'd like to connect with me, you can follow my class/blog account here:

and if you'd like to follow my personal account, find it here:
Each Tuesday  teachers everywhere will use Instagram to post a picture with the hashtag:
#teachertalktuesday

The idea is, on Tuesdays, if we all all use this hashtag, we will be able to search teachers near and far, and create a community that can support and grow together.  For your picture each Tuesday, choose anything that you want to share with other teachers.  They will be able to see your picture when you click on the phrase: #teachertalktuesday

Here is a little Instagram 101 per Michelle:
1. It is like Facebook, but with only pictures
2. You can make your profile private if you want
3. You can  write a caption under your picture and comment or like photos
4.  To hashtag, just use the number (pound) sign (#) and then write your tag with no spaces

Here are some of my favorite pictures over the last couple of weeks =)
